WGN Radio LogoYouth Guidance's James (Zeck) Zeckhauser (left) and Erika Soria (right) recently appeared on WGN 720-AM's "In the Line of Meier" show to talk about Youth Guidance's Project Prepare program.

During the live, in-studio interview, Zeck and Erika shared with WGN's listeners how support from WGN Radio Neediest Kids Fund helps Youth Guidance’s Project Prepare program transform the lives

of thousands of Chicago’s at-risk youth. Erika, a Project Prepare program Alum (1998), highlighted how the program set her on a course for education and career success that has ultimately led her

back to Youth Guidance as a staff member.

For more than 25 years, Project Prepare has been providing at-risk Chicago Public School students learning opportunities designed to develop current and future career interests. The support offered through Project Prepare has ensured that low-income and at-risk students are empowered with the skills and resources they need to make a successful transition from middle to high school, graduate high school and move on to post-secondary education or employment. Project Prepare is currently delivered in four Chicago high schools (Roberto Clemente Community Academy, Harper High School, Kelvyn Park High School, Well Community Academy), serving nearly 400 youth annually.
