| "Tony" Di Vittorio, Youth Guidance's B.A.M. - Sports Edition Founder and Program Manager, shares his story (15:57-27:19) with George Blaise on WCIU-TV's 24 N Halsted show! A Chicago Public School graduate, Anthony DiVittorio, L.C.P.C., created B.A.M. in response to an observation that his male students often lacked physical and emotional access to their fathers, or positive male role models. The B.A.M. curriculum was designed around an innovative application of Cognitive-Behavioral-Therapy techniques, resiliency theory and rites of passage, that have been demonstrated to sucessfully help youth improve self-regulation, social skills, and interpersonal skills.
B.A.M. - Sports Edition is built on six core values: integrity, accountability, self-determination, positive anger expression, visionary goal-setting, and respect for womanhood. Click here to see video |
