2015 will be a bright year for our Community and After-School (CAP) programs thanks to the recent renewal of 21st Century (21C) grant funding. The 21C program offers a comprehensive approach to education and services that begins with the premise that school systems can be leveraged to provide easily accessible after-school programming, continuity in the care and education of children and increased parental involvement in schools. Students across Youth Guidance sites will benefit from classes in the culinary arts, music, dance, drama, sports, and much more. Many CAP programs also offer free meals and college preparation support such as ACT tutorials and financial aid education. The award will mean new opportunities and special projects in 2015.
