As the Executive Director of BAM® in Los Angeles, I am dedicated to keeping our young men on track towards graduation, finding success in higher education and in their chosen career paths. All of this ultimately leads to success in life.
As you may already know in 2001, Youth Guidance’s BAM program was launched in Chicago to help young men navigate difficult circumstances that threaten their future. Program founder, Anthony Ramirez-Di Vittorio, created a safe space for young men to openly express themselves, receive support and develop the social and emotional skills necessary to succeed in academics and in life.
Now in its 19th school year, the BAM program serves more than 8,000 youth in 140+ schools in Boston, Chicago, King County Washington, and now, L.A.
It is with much excitement and pride that I share we plan to serve approximately 275 students in the 2020-21 school year. We have much work to do and with your support we will get it done. Thank you for walking alongside us in this mission.
With hope for all our children and families,
