EXTENDED DAY & ENRICHMENT

About the Program

Across Chicago, parents are in need of safe, engaging options for their children at the end of the traditional school day.

Youth Guidance’s Extended Day and Enrichment programs meet this need by offering high-quality, effective and unique afterschool programs at several convenient, Chicago school locations.

By meeting kids where they are—physically, socially and emotionally—we make every child’s afterschool experience a rewarding one.  Our highly trained, passionate staff works seamlessly with school administration to provide well-rounded academic and extracurricular supports so that every child feels comfortable, safe and encouraged in his/her own personal growth and development.

Extended Day and Enrichment programs generally operate Monday through Friday from the end of the traditional school day until between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. At times, programs hold special performances, workshops, open houses, dinners, socials and other events that are open to the entire family and, sometimes, the broader community.

Programs are available to all students in the school community regardless of grade level (K-8) and economic status. Financial aid, school sponsored slots, sliding scale assistance and Illinois Action for Children subsidies are also available for qualifying families, dependent on location.
