On August 13th, Youth Guidance staff volunteered time to support job seeking youth at the city’s 100K Job Fair held at the McCormick Place. Over 3,500 youth attended and more than 600 left with job offers in hand, including 19 Youth Guidance students!  Activities included on-site interviews, workforce development workshops, opportunities for networking and coaching, and a roundtable discussion with hip hop artists Common and T.I., as well as CEOs from Starbucks, JC Penny, the United Way, and other organizations.

Project Prepare, Youth Guidance’s Workforce Development program, offers career awareness, job readiness training and high school graduation and college preparatory assistance to youth age 15-19…another important part of guiding youth to bright futures!
