Mr. Alvarez joined BAM because he shares the same vision and mission, to guide youth to success in school and in life. Before joining BAM, he worked as a Level II Addictions Counselor helping many overcome traumas and heal. His experience is vast in this area and he learned much.
“I work from a cognitive behavioral and solution focused standpoint. I believe that everyone is capable of creating positive change in their lives and I am passionate about helping individuals find hope again, that’s why I joined BAM,” said Alvarez.
As a BAM mentor and mentor, he wants to empower the young men of LA to be their best and enable them to find their power while being true to themselves.
Fun Fact: In my early 20s, I trained to be a Lucha Libre wrestler.
