On Saturday, May 9th many of the most generous hearts in Chicago came together to support youth in need. The 2015 Youth Guidance Annual Gala was held at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. Co-chaired by Diane and Paul C. Reilly and emceed by NBC 5 broadcast personality Zoraida Sambolin, the event included a seated dinner, paddle raise and live and silent auctions that grossed a record-breaking $770K for Youth Guidance programs!
Honored this year were Bank of America (Organization of the Year) and Richard Logan of the Reva and David Logan Foundation (Kurt L. Schultz Individual Service Award). Each honoree increased their support of Youth Guidance, which truly transformed the evening. Richard Logan, who pledged a dollar for dollar match for funds raised during the event, commented: “I saw an opportunity to galvanize the support on the night. I was overjoyed when, led by the Bank of America, many of the attendees raised their contributions to exploit our offer. It was a great night, and it is truly an honor to support Youth Guidance in all their inspiring work.”
The evening boasted a wonderful roster of agency friends, elected officials and supporters including Mayor Rahm Emanuel, White Sox EVP Kenneth Williams and Fenger High School Principal Liz Dozier. We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and supported the 2015 Gala!
