Youth Guidance Voice

The Youth Guidance Voice

All of us at Youth Guidance are so grateful for the incredible support of our recent Bright Futures Virtual Gala.

It is because of our sponsors and champions that a record-breaking $1.3 Million was raised to support our programming. This achievement demonstrates unwavering resilience during such challenging times. Together, we are all working to create bright futures for our youth.

BAM Hosts Virtual College Tour

BAM students from a handful of high schools attended a virtual college tour where they had the opportunity to engage in conversation focused on topics such as applications and campus life. Admissions staff from participating universities joined the event, introducing youth to different schools and majors available to them across the country.

STRIVE Celebrates the End of the School Year

STRIVE youth and counselors joined for an end-of-year celebration at the Gallery Guichard in Bronzeville.

The celebration included Paint and Dip’ from a local artist, a scavenger hunt, games and activities.

The youth also had the opportunity to tour the art gallery.

YWFD Fellows Give Back

Youth Workforce Development fellows and families completed a Day of Service earlier this month. The group had an amazing time painting, gardening, and collecting trash for Daley Elementary School.

This event was their first in-person experience since the ongoing pandemic began.

There were several parents who attended, as well as siblings of the fellows that made the day a great time filled with family fun and commitment to community.

BAM & WOW Kick Off in Kansas City

We are so excited and humbled to share that BAM and WOW have begun serving youth in Kansas City, Missouri!

Counselors built relationships with schools in the Hickman Mills District, and worked to recruit students amongst hybrid schedules.

Amazing groups have been formed and we are thrilled to be in this new geography!
